I've been told this is a game along the same lines as Heroquest, that was produced by Waddingtons department store in the mid to late 80's. Some of the minis below are from the basic set, some are from expansions (zombies / orge zombies).

Heartbreaker minis produced a large number of nice minis in the late 80's / early 90's. A lot of their sculptors are the same people who work for the major companies of today. Entire lines of figures were sculpted by Chaz Elliot, Tim Prow, Kev Adams, and Phil Lewis. These guys are hard to come by these days so keep your eyes out if you like them!

Heroquest was a game produced by Milton Bradly in the mid 80's to early 90's. Most of the figures show the influence that GW had on this game. Overall the range has a good feel to it, and I especially like the elf, the dawrf, and the chaos knights. I have just started repainting these figures (as the time presents itself), and will be posting pictures of what they looked like the first time around to show how far I've come as a painter!

Paizo Press now has multiple lines of miniature figures. They started with the Compleat Encounters line. Each one contains three miniatures, map tiles, and a short adventure for use with D&D.
They are now producing miniatures in partnership with Crocodile Games for their Pathfinder RPG and adventure paths.

Originally owned by Urban Mammoth, Celtos has since changed hands to Brigade Models. While the weapons can be a bit over the top, these models harken back to the classic Grenadier and Citadel models. Outstanding poses and lots of attitude highlight this excellent line.
